In a perfect world that would be true.  Unfortunately, there are laws that would interfere regardless of who pays for the arrangements.  I feel that legislation would be the only option similar to the way HIPPA http://www.hhs.gov/ocr/privacy/ protects a person&#039;s medical history.

		<description>Surely the obvious thing to do is to pay for the arrangements in advance specifying exactly how things are to be done. Leave no else any leverage to interfere.

Having said that, dead is dead and you will be beyond caring whatever happens, but I would prefer to set up all my own arrangements.
